MINNEAPOLIS (January 7, 2006) – “The Room Upstairs,” a short film directed by Justin Schaack and produced by Kristin Drummond, founders of Above-the-Line Entertainment, has been selected as a finalist in The Director’s Cut film festival.

The short film is one of twenty entries chosen to screen at the online festival where viewers vote to select their favorite film.  The top ten films will be screened in May at PACE University in New York for a panel of celebrity judges, including directors, producers, film critics, agents and actors.

“I’m extremely honored that my film was chosen as a finalist in this online festival, because it has provided the opportunity of being accessible to potentially millions of people,” Schaack said.

Schaack and Drummond will be notified later this spring if their film is one of the top ten finalists eligible to screen in New York and be awarded cash prizes.
